The University of Vermont Medical Center, an innovator in community health care and located in the picturesque town of Burlington, VT, is seeking a skilled MRI Tech to join our dedicated Imaging Services team. As an MRI Tech, you will be pivotal in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services, aiding in the quick and accurate diagnosis of our patients. You will operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners, prepare patients for imaging procedures, and ensure the capture of the correct images. The position requires someone who is meticulous, patient-focused, and committed to supporting our mission of advancing medical care through cutting-edge technology and compassionate service.
Operate and maintain MRI equipment to ensure clear, useful images.
Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and ensuring their comfort and safety.
Select proper imaging techniques and administer contrast agents as needed.
Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare team members to evaluate image quality and provide comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records and adhere to privacy regulations.
Participate in ongoing education to stay current with the latest developments in MRI technology.
Proficient in MRI imaging procedures.
Adept in patient management and safety protocols.
Strong technical skills, including the ability to troubleshoot and maintain sophisticated imaging equipment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Medical Insurance
Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Valid state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
