Description
The University of Cincinnati seeks a dynamic Chair of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine to lead clinical, research, and educational missions within our academic health system. This executive leader will direct anatomic and clinical pathology services, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality and innovation in the diagnostic laboratory. The Chair will recruit and mentor faculty, steward resources, strengthen training programs, and foster interdisciplinary collaboration in UC’s inclusive, research-intensive environment, advancing discovery and clinical excellence in pathology and laboratory medicine.Provide strategic leadership for the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine
Oversee clinical, research, and educational missions of the department
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards
Drive initiatives to improve quality, safety, and efficiency of laboratory services
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate faculty and staff
Develop and manage departmental budgets and resource allocation
Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across UC and affiliated health systems
Advance research programs and support grant and publication activity
Enhance residency and fellowship education in pathology and laboratory medicine
Represent the department in institutional and external partnerships
Anatomic pathology

Regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP, JCAHO)

Eligibility for Ohio medical licensure
