The Department of Medicine, Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Louisville School of Medicine is seeking a qualified and motivated individual for the position to serve as Program Director of a newly forming Internal Medicine Residency Program based at Baptist Health Paducah Hospital in Paducah, Kentucky. The rank for this position will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications, with options for Assistant, Associate, or Professor levels.

Oversees/manages all aspects of the Baptist Health Paducah Internal Medicine Residency Program to ensure high-quality training for all residents in the program. Maintains/develops curriculum to reflect current medical treatments/practices/ management in the field of internal medicine.

Job Duties:

Lead in development, accreditation, and the long-term success of Baptist Health Paducah's residency program. 

Develop advanced curriculum, training methods and materials for residents. 

Evaluate qualifications of residency applicants through documented, formal, procedural based criteria. 

Coordinate and participate in the recruitment and onboarding process of internal medicine residents. 

Serve as liaison with University of Louisville School of Medicine and collaborate with University of Louisville’s GME leadership and Department of Medicine leadership. 

Serve on relevant committees representing the Internal Medicine Residency Program and act as the primary liaison and key contact for the Residency Program. 

Development of inpatient/outpatient medical practice for the purpose of educating internal medicine residents.
